Wok Seasoning Guide

How to season a wok?

New woks often have protective plastic coating. Heating directly causes fumes and residues.

Seasoning is key: it removes coating, creates a non-stick, rust-resistant layer. Here's how in 3 steps.

First StepClean the wok with a scouring pad or brush to remove rust-proof protective layer on the wok surface. Dry the water drops on the surface with dry cloth.

Second Step: Turn the heat to maximum and evenly heat the wok until it turns blue, starting from the center. Please note the protection against high-temperature burns.

Third Step: After it cools down, wipe it clean with wet cloth.

Your wok is now properly seasoned. Remember to clean and dry it thoroughly after each use to maintain its non-stick surface.

Happy stir-frying!
